网站首页3月12日，菲律宾首都马尼拉市长、2022年菲总统大选候选人莫雷诺说，如果他当选总统，他就会用乌克兰总统泽连斯基那样的“勇气”来处理菲律宾的贫困、饥饿和不平等问题。
据菲律宾《每日询问者报》3月13日报道，莫雷诺12日讲话时说，他如果当选总统，并不想发动战争。他所想要发动的“战斗”，是应对人民的疾苦和饥饿与捍卫生活安宁的“战斗”。
据报道，莫雷诺在选举纲领的经济议程中提出，要建设一个包容且公平的基础设施发展计划，来解决贫困、饥饿、失业、不平等和社会不公正的问题。
莫雷诺承诺，如果他当选，将专注于建设帮助平民满足基本需求的设施，包括优质住房、教育和医疗保健、就业和生计机会。
具体而言，如果莫雷诺顺利当选总统，他将石油产品的消费税降低50%，进而降低粮食生产成本，以提高农民和渔民的收入；政府也将以合适的价格购买农民剩余产品，并发布明确的农产品进口政策，以确保在进口农产品之前本地生产商可以先销售他们的产品。他的农业政策还包括打击走私、建设灌溉系统、提供低风险贷款等。
据澎湃新闻早前报道，莫雷诺现年46岁，曾是电影明星，有“万人迷”称号。据称他在贫民窟长大，曾以吃餐馆剩饭为生，通过回收垃圾来帮助父母。莫雷诺在参加葬礼时被星探发现，从此开启了演艺生涯。
1998年，莫雷诺进入政治，担任马尼拉市顾问。2017年，他当选马尼拉副市长；2019年，当选马尼拉市长。莫雷诺以“土生土长”的马尼拉人自居，以自己的“逆袭”故事吸引支持者。
莫雷诺被认为是现总统杜特尔特的反对者之一。他竞选总统的政党背景是菲律宾中左翼政党民主行动党（Aksyon Demokratiko）。
据多家媒体报道，2022年菲律宾总统大选中民调支持度最高的候选人是菲律宾前总统马科斯儿子、前参议员小马科斯（昵称“邦邦”）。
据《环球时报》3月9日报道，乌克兰领导人泽连斯基在俄乌冲突中成了全世界目光聚焦的“战时总统”。有舆论认为，演员出身的泽连斯基凭借对社交平台的熟练应用为自己赢得了颇高的人气。但也有舆论批评称，泽连斯基的“英雄主义”正触碰西方红线，让乌克兰陷入险境。
